Job Summary
The Marketing & Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships within our community, executing local marketing initiatives, boosting sales and growing awareness for Chick-fil-A Heartland. This role serves as the bridge between our restaurant and the surrounding community, creating opportunities to increase guest engagement, support sales growth, and demonstrate Chick-fil-A's commitment to care and hospitality.
The ideal candidate is highly strategic, relational, organized, creative, and passionate about caring for others whilst increasing brand awareness. They have a heart for the community and a desire to create memorable experiences that win hearts every day.
Responsibilities:
Community Engagement & Partnerships

Building and maintaining relationships with local schools, sports organizations, businesses, non-profit organizations, and community leaders

Identifying opportunities for catering, brand promotion/sponsorships, fundraising events, community gatherings, and local partnerships

Representing Chick-fil-A Heartland at community events and find networking opportunities

Coordinating donations, food contributions, and community outreach initiatives

Tracking community involvement efforts and evaluate their impact
Local Store Marketing

Developing and executing a local marketing calendar aligned with restaurant goals and calendar

Planning and executing in-restaurant promotions, events, and community activations
-
Identifying opportunities to increase traffic during key dayparts, with a focus on catering and off-peak periods

Collaborating with the leadership team to create campaigns that drive sales and guest engagement

Measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies based on results
Catering Growth & Sales Development

Identifying and pursuing new catering opportunities with local businesses, schools, healthcare facilities, and community organizations

Building and maintaining relationships with catering guests to encourage brand loyalty

Coordinating catering sampling, outreach visits, and promotional initiatives

Tracking leads, follow-up activities, and catering growth opportunities
Digital Presence & Brand Storytelling

Assisting in planning, creating, and scheduling engaging social media content for social media and digital platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)

Capturing stories, photos and moments that showcase the restaurant's hospitality, team culture and community impact

Ensuring all marketing materials align with Chick-Fil-A Heartland's brand standards

Monitoring community trends and identifying opportunities for relevant engagement
Event Coordination

Planning and executing community events, restaurant celebrations, family nights and promotional experiences

Coordinating logistics, supplies, team support, and event communication

Ensuring every event reflects Chick-Fil-A Heartland's standard of exceptional hospitality and values
Administrative & Strategic Responsibilities

Maintaining records of sponsorships, donations, community contacts and marketing results

Managing marketing supplies and promotional materials
-
Creating monthly reports summarizing community outreach efforts, partnerships and results

Managing the marketing budget responsibly and seeking opportunities for maximum impact
Qualifications
-
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, Event management, or a related field is preferred
-
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in marketing, community outreach, event planning, sales, hospitality or a related field preferred
-
Experience in creating and executing marketing strategies and campaigns
-
Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, retail or customer service industry is an asset
-
Experience using design and content creation softwares (eg Adobe, InDesign, Canva etc) is an asset
-
Familiarity with social media platforms, content creation and digital marketing strategies
-
Demonstrated ability to analyze results and use data to improve marketing efforts

The base hourly rate for this position is CAD $20.00 – $25.00. In addition, this role is eligible for a competitive bonus structure tied to achieving specific metrics.
