Full job description

We are a boutique personal injury law firm seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Associate Lawyer to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation and be looking to develop their advocacy skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of accident benefits and tort matters from inception through resolution.
Attend and conduct Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT) case conferences and hearings.
Conduct examinations for discovery and attend mediations.
Draft pleadings, motion materials, written submissions, and settlement documentation.
Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and experts.
Assist with trial preparation and other litigation-related tasks as required.

Qualifications

Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
2–3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
Experience handling Accident Benefits (ABS) files and tort claims.
Experience attending LAT hearings, examinations for discovery, and mediations.
Strong legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
