Job Description

Experienced CUSTOM Metal Fabricator.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Mechanical/Technical Skills required

Experience is required for this position- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a custom fabricator working with ¼” PL and thinner, Stainless Steel, Hot Roll, Aluminum, etc.
Good knowledge of fractions/ decimals, metric & imperial and accurate measuring is a must have for this position
Confident reading and interpreting blueprints
Enjoy helping and training others

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: Read, write & speak the English language fluently

Police Record Check/Criminal Record Check is required
Punctuality & excellent attendance is absolutely necessary
Ability to take job from start to finish
Quality workmanship
Work confidently with wide range of hand tools
Experience in welding (TIG, MIG)
Operate machinery – shears, press brake, punch, saw, drill
Perform grinding services to high-quality finishes
Identify problems and recommend solutions
Focus on job – be self-motivated
Ability to measure and layout to close tolerances
Work independently with minimal supervision and work well with others
Ability to track your time on jobs & fill out time sheets accurately
WHMIS training
MINDFUL OF Safety practices on the job

Strength: Metal fabricators require strength to lift heavy objects during the fabrication/assembly process. Stamina: Metal fabricators are on their feet for long periods of time often doing repetitive motions, bending, etc.

Dexterity: Metal fabricators work with their hands, whether directly manipulating components or using controls on machines.
