Geotab is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Theft Solutions who will drive the strategic direction and execution of Geotab's expansion into theft awareness, detection, and recovery solutions. As a Senior Product Manager, Theft Solutions, your key area of responsibility will be identifying and scaling end-to-end products that leverage Geotab's telematics platform, real-time data insights, and predictive analytics to prevent vehicle and asset theft, enable rapid recovery, and reduce insurance costs. You will need to work closely with hardware engineering, software development, data science, commercial teams, and external partners.
To be successful in this role you will be an entrepreneurial self-starter with a tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to iterate rapidly based on customer feedback. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to translate complex telematics insights into compelling customer value and manage multiple timelines to ensure timely results.
- Market Discovery & Customer Insights: Conduct comprehensive customer discovery to understand theft vulnerabilities, recovery workflows, and decision criteria across fleet segments (commercial, rental, asset tracking, logistics). Uncover latent needs and willingness to pay for prevention and recovery solutions. Research competing theft prevention and recovery platforms.
- Product Strategy & Positioning: Define the theft solutions product strategy, including feature set, pricing model and market segmentation. Position Geotab as the preferred telematics platform for theft prevention and recovery.
- Feature & Requirement Definition: Translate customer needs into detailed product requirements. Partner with data science to define theft detection algorithms (behavioral anomaly detection, location pattern analysis, risk scoring). Establish monitoring and observability to measure solution efficacy and refine models post-launch.
- Roadmap Management: Own the theft solutions product roadmap, aligning hardware, firmware, cloud, mobile, and business intelligence teams on phased delivery. Identify partnership opportunities to integrate Geotab insights into existing workflows.
- Execution & Delivery: Drive end-to-end product delivery from requirements to launch, managing dependencies, priorities, and release readiness. Track market performance post-launch, including adoption, retention, and revenue contribution, using data to accelerate iteration and close gaps between roadmap intent and customer outcomes.
- 7–10 years of Product Management experience, ideally spanning IoT and SaaS environments.
- Demonstrated experience bringing a new product or feature from discovery to market launch with measurable customer adoption.
- Expertise in Telematics & Connected Devices, specifically how GPS, CAN data, and diagnostics are leveraged for predictive analytics and real-time alerting.
- Theft & Loss Prevention knowledge, including vehicle theft mechanisms, recovery workflows, and anti-theft technologies like immobilizers and trackers.
- Strong analytical ability to synthesize data signals (alerts, location history, behavioral patterns) into prioritized insights and user-centric tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and explain technical capabilities to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; background in fleet management or insurance technology is preferred.

The annual base salary for this position is the expected annual salary for this role, and may be subject to change. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to skills, qualifications, education and overall experience, including the location the applicant lives while performing the job. This also includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work and the individual's ability to pass a background check.

$125,000—$150,700 CAD
