Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Subway Sandwich Artist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe food environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about food preparation, has experience in food service, and enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant setting. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cashiering, and upselling while contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers.

Duties

Prepare fresh sandwiches and salads according to Subway standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
Operate the Micros POS system for order processing and cash handling accurately.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions, and providing product recommendations.
Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food prep area, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Restock supplies as needed and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Follow all food safety regulations and restaurant policies to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

Previous food preparation or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory management.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience in cashiering, serving, or the food industry is advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
Good time management skills with the ability to multitask during busy hours.
A positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
