ABS Machining is a leading custom fabrication and manufacturing company specializing in manufacturing and production of large, complex welded assemblies ranging from 10,000 lbs to over 200,000 + lbs. Our team of professionals works in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, producing some of the most technically demanding and precision-engineered weldments in Canada.

Position Overview:

We are seeking highly skilled Tool Crib Attendant.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair welding machines and associated mechanical equipment.
Maintain welding positioners, rotators, manipulators, wire-feeding equipment, fixtures, rollers, and related fabrication equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on welding and fabrication machinery .
Identify equipment problems before they result in production interruptions.
Replace and repair bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, couplings, shafts, gearboxes, rollers, pneumatic components, hydraulic components, and other mechanical parts.
Maintain and repair material-handling equipment used within the fabrication area.
Assist with installation, relocation, alignment, leveling, and commissioning of new or modified equipment.
Ensure machine guards, mechanical safety devices, and other protective equipment are properly installed and maintained.
Conduct equipment inspections and document deficiencies.
Complete emergency repairs when required to minimize production downtime.
Determine the root cause of recurring mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain an adequate inventory of commonly required mechanical replacement parts and supplies.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment histories.
Communicate equipment issues and repair requirements to supervisors
Provide recommendations regarding equipment repairs, replacement parts, and improvements.
Communicate effectively with welders, operators, supervisors, electricians, and other maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

Recognized Millwright/Millwright-Mechanic qualification or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or heavy industrial environment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
Ability to safely use common millwright tools and precision measuring equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Liftruck experience
Computer knowledge (email and excel)

Position based in Burlington.
