Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Head Instructor to lead the coaching experience at our growing FS8 Streetsville studio.

FS8 is a unique fusion of Reformer Pilates, functional strength training, and Yoga, designed to deliver a progressive, full-body movement experience unlike traditional Pilates studios. As Head Instructor, you will play a key leadership role in shaping the studio culture, developing the coaching team, and delivering exceptional member experiences every day.

This is a full-time salaried leadership position ideal for someone who is passionate about movement, community, coaching development, and boutique fitness operations.

While all classes are programmed by FS8 HQ, the Head Instructor is responsible for ensuring elite-level class delivery, coaching consistency, instructor development, and a welcoming, high-energy studio environment.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality FS8 classes with exceptional energy, coaching presence, and technical instruction.
Provide strong verbal cueing, hands-on coaching support when appropriate, and individualized modifications/progressions.
Create a welcoming, motivating, and inclusive environment for members of all fitness levels.
Build strong relationships with members and contribute to a community-first studio culture.
Ensure every member has a premium and consistent studio experience from start to finish.

Leadership & Team Development:

Lead, mentor, and support the instructor team to maintain high coaching standards across all classes.
Assist with instructor onboarding, training, evaluations, and ongoing development.
Ensure all instructors are aligned with FS8 coaching standards, class flow expectations, and member experience protocols.
Work alongside ownership and management to improve studio performance, retention, and community engagement.
Help foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace culture.

Studio Operations:

Assist with studio scheduling, instructor coverage, and operational organization as needed.
Maintain studio cleanliness, equipment standards, and overall presentation.
Participate in studio events, community activations, challenges, workshops, and promotional initiatives.
Support sales and member retention efforts through relationship-building and member engagement.
Stay current with FS8 training modules, education, and coaching updates.

Requirements:

Reformer Pilates Certification required.
Additional certifications in Yoga, Personal Training, Group Fitness, Barre, or related disciplines are considered a strong asset.
Previous experience leading Reformer Pilates or boutique group fitness classes required.
Previous leadership, mentoring, or head coach experience preferred.
Strong communication skills, confidence leading groups, and attention to movement quality and detail.
Passionate about health, wellness, movement, and creating meaningful member experiences.
Professional, reliable, energetic, and highly team-oriented.
Comfortable with studio technology, scheduling systems, and music platforms.

Position Details:

Full-Time Salaried Position
Combination of coaching hours, leadership responsibilities, administrative tasks, and instructor development.
