Part-Time Early Childhood Educator (18–27 Hours/Week)

Little Blue Childcare Centre

Little Blue Childcare Centre is looking for a caring, reliable, and positive educator to join our small team!

We're a play-based childcare centre that values kindness, teamwork, and creating a safe, fun environment where children can learn and grow. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to become part of our daycare family—not just fill a position.

Position

Part-time (18–27 hours per week)
There is potential for this position to become full-time in the future as our centre continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who:

Is dependable and shows up ready to work every day.
Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team.
Is patient, caring, and able to build strong relationships with children and families.
Takes initiative and doesn't wait to be asked what needs to be done.
Is comfortable working in a fast-paced childcare environment.
Can help create engaging activities while also jumping in wherever needed throughout the day.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
Communicates professionally with coworkers and families.
Is looking for a long-term position where they can grow with our centre.

Qualifications

Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate (or ECE Assistant certification if applicable).
Current First Aid with CPR-C.
Criminal Record Check (or ability to obtain one).
Knowledge of BC Child Care Licensing Regulations is an asset.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing quality care and supervision for children.
Planning and participating in age-appropriate activities.
Supporting children's social, emotional, and physical development.
Maintaining a clean and organized learning environment.
Assisting with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and daily routines.
Working closely with coworkers to ensure the day runs smoothly.
Following all licensing and health and safety requirements.
