Job Summary
Are you a Registered Dental Hygienist looking for your forever home? Do you prefer coworkers who are more like family? Would you prefer guaranteed hours and a work/life balance? Do you want to work in an environment where patient care is the primary concern?

Busy, well-established group practice in SW Calgary is looking to add a full time RDH to their team. Uniform allowance, HSA, CE training and paid lunch breaks are some of the perks. Our clinic believes firmly in a team approach and our hygienists enjoy tremendous support from their 8 fellow hygienists, as well as our 4 dentists, 7 administrators plus the office manager and 9 RDA's. The assistants are happy to pop into the hygiene ops and help with room turnovers, measurement recordings and instrument sterilization.

This office is non-corporate, newly renovated and well-located. Many long term staff make for a friendly atmosphere and there's room for growth. Experience is preferred but new grads are welcome to apply.

This position includes one evening till 7pm and alternating Saturdays - but only one Saturday a month in summer! The office is open Monday to Thursday 7am-7pm, Fridays 7am-3pm and Saturdays 7:30am-3:30pm. This office is never open on long weekends and always closes the week between Christmas and New Year's. We have free on-site staff parking and a transit stop right out front!

Responsibilities

Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Provide oral health education and personalized recommendations for maintaining good oral hygiene.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments are prepared and sterilized appropriately.
Maintain accurate patient records using Power Practice dental management software.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient experiences.

Skills

Degree in Dental Hygiene is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This position is integral to delivering comprehensive dental care while fostering positive relationships with patients through professionalism and compassion.
