About ZyroGo
ZyroGo is an Ontario-based intercity transportation company launching scheduled service on the London – Toronto Pearson International Airport corridor on June 5, 2026. We are starting Phase 1 with a fleet of Mercedes-Benz 15-seater Sprinter passenger vans and are building toward coach bus operations as our next phase. We are a launch-stage company that is fully structured and prepared. About the Role
As a ZyroGo Professional Driver, you operate scheduled passenger trips on the London ⇄ Toronto Pearson corridor in our Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans. You own the trip end-to-end from pre-trip inspection, through safe operation on Highway 401, to passenger boarding and disembarkation at the London terminal and Toronto Pearson. Your daily workflow runs through ZyroGo's digital operations dashboard on your mobile phone, with real-time support from dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a full pre-trip vehicle inspection (DVIR) before every departure and a post-trip walk-through at the end of the shift.
- Operate the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van safely and smoothly on the London ⇄ , Toronto Pearson corridor, primarily via Highway 401.
- Maintain accurate Hours of Service records using the Samsara Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
- Use ZyroGo's digital operations dashboard on a mobile phone to follow daily workflows, accept dispatch instructions, confirm trip steps, and update trip status in real time. Digital capability is required on every shift.
- Greet passengers warmly, verify tickets, assist with luggage, and deliver clear announcements at departure, ETA, safety, and arrival.
- Provide dignified assistance — service-animal accommodation, and support for passengers with mobility, visual, or hearing needs.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch about delays, incidents, weather, traffic, or any deviation from the plan.
- Handle passenger concerns calmly using ZyroGo's service protocol: listen, empathize, apologize, resolve or escalate, document.
- Follow ZyroGo Terms of Carriage, baggage rules, and passenger conduct policy without making unilateral exceptions.
- Complete end-of-trip lost-and-found inspection, fuel check, and damage report; return the vehicle ready for the next shift.
- Maintain ZyroGo uniform and presentation standards on every shift.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Class B or Class C driver's licence WITH Z (airbrake) endorsement. Required even for the Sprinter van phase. This is the licence class needed for drivers to be upgraded to coach bus operations as ZyroGo expands.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of commercial driving or passenger transportation experience. (Do not apply if you don't have)
- Clean Ontario Driver Abstract with NO convictions. Must be clean.
- Clear criminal background check (vulnerable sector). Completed as a condition of employment.
- Satisfactory reference check from prior employers required as part of hiring.
- Fluent English - spoken and written. Must be able to communicate clearly with passengers, dispatch, and the public.
- Must have documented customer-service experience.
- Legal right to work in Canada.
- Confident use of a smartphone and digital platforms and apps.
- Comfort with electronic monitoring - ELD, GPS, telematics, dashcam, and Samsara safety scoring.
Preferred Experience
- Airport shuttle, intercity bus, or scheduled-route driving.
- Familiarity with Highway 401, GTA merge zones, and Toronto Pearson terminal procedures.
- Defensive driving certification or completed safety training is an asset.
- Prior experience operating Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passenger vans or comparable coach buses such as MCI, Prevost, Setra, Venhool, Temsa, etc.
- Customer-service or hospitality background with proven de-escalation skills.
- Experience with Samsara or equivalent ELD platforms.
Safety, Communication & Customer Service Expectations

Safety standards (non-negotiable):
- Zero tolerance for impairment - drugs, alcohol, or any controlled substance. Random testing applies. (ZyroGo cares for our valued passengers)
- No mobile phone use while driving. Hands-free only.
- Mandatory rest breaks. You do not operate while fatigued.
- Daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, with defects logged and reported before return-to-service.
- Full compliance with the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, Commercial Vehicle Drivers' Hours of Service Regulations (SOR/2005-313), and CVOR standards.
Communication & customer service standards:
- Must be fluent in clear English communication with passengers, dispatch, and the public.
- Warm, professional greeting for every passenger boarding.
- Clear announcements at departure, midpoint, and arrival.
- Dignified accessibility assistance - never assume, always ask.
- De-escalate, never argue. Listen, empathize, apologize, resolve or escalate, document.
- Smooth driving - no sudden acceleration, braking, or lane changes.
- Vehicle interior and exterior maintained to ZyroGo cleanliness standards.
Work Schedule
ZyroGo operates year-round. Drivers must be flexible for all shift types - early morning, day, evening, and night, including weekends and statutory holidays. AM, PM, and are assigned based on operational demand. Drivers report to the departure facility a minimum of 45-60 minutes before the scheduled passenger departure, in full uniform and fully prepared to operate. Schedules are posted at least 7 days in advance. Punctuality is a mission.
Compensation
- Probation rate: $160.00 CAD per trip (first 90 days)
- Post-probation rate: $175.00 CAD per trip
- Daily earning potential: Drivers completing two round-trip within regulated hours can earn $320–$350 per day
- Pay cycle: Weekly via direct deposit
- Engagement types: Full-Time (5+ days/week), Part-Time (2–3 days/week), On-Call (12 hours' notice)
- Standard CRA deductions apply (income tax, EI, CPP)
Paid Orientation & Training
All hired drivers must complete ZyroGo's 8-hour online orientation before their start date. The orientation covers ZyroGo's company standards, safety policies, passenger service protocols, digital workflow and emergency procedures, and concludes with a required exam. A minimum score of 80% is required to be approved for duty.
How Driver Performance Is Tracked
ZyroGo runs a structured performance management system. Every driver is measured against a formal Key Performance Indicator, Key Result Area, and Key Risk Indicator framework. Performance data is collected automatically through telematics, dispatch records, passenger feedback, and pre-trip inspection logs, and surfaced to each driver through the ZyroGo operations dashboard.
Reviews run monthly, quarterly, and annually. Strong performers open recognition and promotion pathways, including transition to management positions and coach bus operations as the fleet expands.
