Sales Manager

Courtyard by Marriott Brampton – Brampton, ON

Reports To: Director of Sales/ General Manager

Are you a driven hospitality professional with a passion for building relationships, generating new business, and exceeding revenue goals?

Courtyard by Marriott Brampton is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead business development initiatives and drive revenue across corporate, leisure, group, and banquet segments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys networking, cultivating long-term client relationships, and identifying new opportunities in a competitive hospitality market.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals across corporate, leisure, group, and catering markets.
Prospect new business through outside sales calls, networking events, industry associations, and community engagement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel managers, event planners, sports organizations, government agencies, and key accounts.
Respond promptly to sales inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and successfully convert leads into confirmed business.
Conduct property tours and sales presentations showcasing the hotel's guestrooms, meeting space, banquet facilities, and amenities.
Manage existing accounts while identifying opportunities to increase repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Collaborate closely with the Operations, Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Revenue teams to ensure successful execution of group bookings and events.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to identify new business opportunities and maximize revenue.
Utilize Salesforce or other CRM platforms to manage leads, maintain client records, track sales activities, and prepare reports.
Participate in revenue strategy discussions, forecasting, budgeting, and business planning initiatives.
Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking functions, client events, and community organizations to promote the Marriott brand.
Ensure all sales activities align with Marriott brand standards and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2–3 years of hotel sales, business development, or hospitality management experience.
Previous Marriott experience is considered a strong asset.
Proven success in outside sales, account management, and developing new business opportunities.
Strong understanding of corporate, leisure, group, and banquet sales.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the capability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar sales management systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends, sales data, and performance metrics.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hotel leadership and operational teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation for outside sales activities are considered an asset.
Must be flexible to attend occasional evening or weekend networking events and client functions as business needs require.
