Classification and Organizational Design Specialist - Permanent - 19128

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Classification and Organizational Design Specialist to join their Human Resources team in a continuing permanent capacity. This position will play a key role in supporting organizational effectiveness initiatives through expert guidance on classification, job evaluation, organizational structure, and workforce design.

Working closely with managers, directors, senior leadership, and HR stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide strategic and operational support related to role design, organizational alignment, and classification activities across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative HR professional who enjoys partnering with business leaders and helping shape organizational structures that support evolving operational requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide expert advice and guidance to managers, directors, and senior leaders on classification, job evaluation, organizational structure, and organizational design matters
Partner with HR teams and business leaders to assess organizational needs and recommend workforce design solutions aligned with operational and strategic objectives
Conduct job evaluations and classification reviews in accordance with established organizational standards and methodologies
Review and develop job descriptions, job questionnaires, and organizational charts to ensure alignment, consistency, and organizational effectiveness
Ensure classification activities comply with pay equity legislation, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
Support the development and continuous improvement of organizational design tools, templates, procedures, and reporting mechanisms
Provide training and guidance to managers and HR stakeholders on classification processes and organizational design principles
Build strong relationships across business units to maintain a solid understanding of operational requirements and workforce needs
Support quality assurance and consistency across classification and organizational design practices
Manage multiple competing priorities and timelines in a collaborative environment
About You

The successful candidate will likely possess the following:
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of five years of experience in classification, job evaluation, organizational design, or related HR functions
Strong knowledge of classification methodologies, job evaluation frameworks, and organizational design principles
Experience applying pay equity legislation and related regulatory requirements within an organizational setting
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with leaders at multiple levels of the organization
Excellent communication, consultation, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Strong business acumen and ability to understand operational requirements across different service lines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related HR systems/tools
CHRP designation and/or classification accreditation would be considered an asset
Bilingualism in English and French is mandatory
Eligibility for a security clearance at a min. level of Reliability
