Full-Time or Part-Time | Le Richmond – Griffintown, Montréal

Le Richmond is an established restaurant and event venue located in the heart of Griffintown, offering refined Italian-inspired cuisine and hosting weddings, corporate events, private celebrations and off-site catering throughout the year.

We are currently looking for a talented and creative Pastry & Cake Chef to join our kitchen team.

We are looking for someone with strong pastry skills who can take responsibility for our dessert production while also producing custom cakes and desserts for weddings, birthdays, corporate events and other private celebrations.

This position can be full-time or part-time depending on the candidate's experience, availability and skill set.

Main Responsibilities

Prepare and produce desserts for our restaurant and private events
Participate in the creation of seasonal restaurant desserts
Produce custom cakes for weddings, birthdays and special events
Prepare individual desserts, petits fours and other pastry items for events
Handle cake assembly, finishing and decoration
Manage pastry production and mise en place according to restaurant and event volume
Ensure consistency, quality and presentation of all desserts
Coordinate pastry requirements with the Chef and kitchen team
Manage pastry ingredients and communicate purchasing requirements
Maintain proper rotation and minimize waste
Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary pastry work area
Follow all food-safety and hygiene standards
Participate in off-site catering and special-event production when required

What We're Looking For

Professional pastry experience
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and production
Experience producing and decorating custom cakes
Creativity and a strong sense of presentation
Ability to work independently and organize production efficiently
Excellent time management
Ability to manage multiple orders and event deadlines
Attention to detail and consistency
Reliable, punctual and responsible
Positive attitude and team spirit
Experience with weddings, catering, restaurants or high-volume events is an asset

An Important Part of This Position

Le Richmond hosts a significant number of weddings and private events, making custom cakes and special-event desserts an important part of this role.

We are therefore particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong cake-production and decorating skills.
