JOB DETAILS

Skills & Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and transport vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
Troubleshoot using electronic testing equipment and hand tools to identify mechanical issues
Inspect vehicles for safety and compliance with industry regulations and standards
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance
Strong understanding of vehicle systems and components
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the shop and on the road
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Mitchell 1/ Protractor considered an asset

Qualifications

A Diploma, Journeyperson or Red Seal in either HD Equipment Tech or Truck and Trailer Mechanic OR extensive knowledge and experience in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport Mechanic
Able to understand equipment systems to effectively and efficiently determine the necessary route for repair
Highly motivated and self-driven
Experienced, competent and able to repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy duty equipment
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Willing to accept learning opportunities and to continue developing professionally and personally
