Full job description

Cedarland Homes Ltd. is a growing family owned and operated residential construction company located in Parry Sound, Ontario specialising in the design and construction of new residential and seasonal homes and cottages. With 3 generations of experience and knowledge in the building industry, we take great pride in the quality and workmanship of each of the homes and cottages we build.

We are seeking to hire an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team!

Working with the accounting team, you will be responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping, month-end adjusting entries, AP / AR review, inter-company reconciliation, bank, and balance sheet reconciliation.

Formal prerequisites for the position

Proven progressive experience as a Bookkeeper with full cycle accounting responsibilities required
High level proficiency with accounting software (Sage preferred, but others considered)
Hands on experience running payroll and related processes strongly preferred
Experience working in Construction/Trades considered an asset
Experience working with Service Box considered an asset
Experience working with Spruce considered an asset

Job Duties

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
Maintain accurate financial records in Sage
Prepare and process invoices and payments
Track and report on company expenses
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparing documents for tax filing
Maintain filing systems and ensure proper documentation for financial transactions
Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal team

*Please note, this position is located in person in our offices located in Parry Sound, Ontario. *

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
