Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems and construction projects, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the trades. The Plumbing Apprentice will work closely with experienced plumbers to develop technical skills, learn industry standards, and contribute to various plumbing installations and maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for individuals interested in building a career in plumbing, construction, or related fields, with opportunities for growth and skill development.

Duties

Assist senior plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support project planning and execution
Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, assemble, and install pipes, fittings, fixtures, and other plumbing components
Support the setup and operation of welding equipment when necessary for pipe fabrication or repairs
Participate in the assembly of plumbing systems according to specifications and industry standards
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during work activities
Assist with routine maintenance tasks on plumbing equipment and systems as directed by supervisors

Qualifications

Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in plumbing, construction, or related trades
Experience or familiarity with carpentry, HVAC, welding, or general construction is a plus
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is preferred but not required—training will be provided
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in plumbing work
Ability to work safely around construction sites and adhere to safety guidelines at all times
Willingness to learn new skills through on-the-job training and mentorship
Prior construction or maintenance experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
