About Us: Legend Spirits is a craft distillery and restaurant in Parry Sound, celebrated for our commitment to quality, innovation, and tradition. Our restaurant offers a unique culinary journey, pairing exceptional food with our award-winning spirits. After a successful first year, we are looking for a passionate and creative Executive Chef to lead our kitchen and take our dining experience to the next level.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Chef to oversee all aspects of our restaurant's culinary operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating innovative menus, managing kitchen staff, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires a leader who can balance creativity with operational excellence, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a high-quality menu that complements Legend Spirits' brand and offerings.
Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Source and manage relationships with local suppliers and vendors.
Control food and labor costs while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with the management team to create a cohesive dining experience that aligns with the distillery's brand.
Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques and ingredients into the menu.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
Strong knowledge of food trends, techniques, and ingredients.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
Knowledge of spirits and cocktail pairings is a plus.
