Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Baker/Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and food preparation, with a keen eye for detail in cake decorating and presentation. This role involves creating high-quality baked goods, pastries, and desserts that delight our customers. The Baker/Pastry Cook will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all products meet food safety standards and quality expectations. Experience in the food industry, especially in restaurant or bakery settings, is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to a vibrant, customer-focused establishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, pastries, and cookies with precision and consistency
Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques to enhance visual appeal
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation standards
Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and packaging products for sale or delivery
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
Follow recipes accurately while also contributing creative ideas for new products
Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth operations
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about baked goods and assisting with special orders when needed

Experience

Previous experience in baking or pastry arts preferred; restaurant or bakery experience is a plus
Skilled in cake decorating, food presentation, and food handling techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
Experience with food industry standards for quality control and consistency
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role

Pay: $17.20-$25.77 per hour
