Full job description

Overview
Iron Horse Earthworks Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Scheduler to join our team for an upcoming industrial civil and earthworks project in Port Hope, Ontario.

The Construction Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project schedules throughout all phases of construction. Working closely with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and clients, the successful candidate will ensure work is properly planned, resources are effectively coordinated, and project milestones are achieved safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules using Microsoft Project.
Prepare look-ahead schedules and monitor project milestones and critical path activities.
Track project progress, labour, equipment, and productivity.
Coordinate schedules with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Identify scheduling risks and recommend solutions to maintain project timelines.
Prepare progress reports and schedule updates for project management.
Participate in project planning and coordination meetings.

Qualifications:

3+ years of construction scheduling experience in civil, industrial, or heavy construction.
Proficient in Microsoft Project.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling principles.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Primavera P6 is an asset.
