Full job description

We're looking for an experienced, compassionate Group Dog Walker to join our team.

This role includes approximately three group walks per week (Tuesday–Thursday), from around 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. A reliable vehicle is required, as one is not provided.

For candidates looking for additional hours, private walks are also available Monday to Friday, with walks typically avialable between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm.

If you love dogs, understand canine body language, and are committed to using Fear Free, force-free, positive reinforcement methods, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Lead small group walks of up to four dogs.
Safely transport dogs in your own reliable vehicle.
Reinforce calm, confident behaviour using positive reinforcement techniques.
Maintain a safe, structured, and enjoyable environment for every dog.
Communicate professionally with clients and the Sit Stay Sparkle team.
Take high-quality photos and videos for client report cards and social media.

Requirements

Previous professional dog walking or dog handling experience (required).
Strong understanding of positive reinforcement and Fear Free handling.
Reliable vehicle suitable for transporting up to four dogs.
Ability to work independently as an independent contractor.
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
Excellent judgement, communication skills, and commitment to safety.

Bonus Qualifications

Pet First Aid Certification.
Fear Free Certification.
Dog training, shelter, behaviour, or other relevant animal-care qualifications.

Are you comfortable working outdoors in all weather year-round?
This role requires the use of a reliable personal vehicle suitable for transporting up to four dogs. Car-share services (e.g. EVO, Modo) are not suitable for this position. Do you meet this requirement? If yes, please provide the make, model and year of the vehicle you will be using.
