Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kitchen Helper/Server to join our restaurant team. This role involves supporting food preparation, assisting with meal service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer interaction skills, and a strong understanding of food safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
Package take-out food
Portion and wrap foods
Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
Take customers' orders
Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
Remove kitchen garbage and trash
Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not required
Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and meal preparation techniques
Strong serving skills with excellent customer service abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food industry practices are advantageous
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus
