Carpenter Foreman – Commercial Construction

Location: Charlottetown & Summerside, PEI
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Project Manager / Superintendent

Wilmac Construction is looking for an experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead commercial construction projects in the Charlottetown and Summerside areas.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate carpenters, laborers, subcontractors, and site activities
Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules
Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
Conduct toolbox talks and maintain safe work practices
Communicate daily progress with Project Managers and Superintendents
Monitor quality control and resolve issues proactively
Help maintain project schedules and productivity targets

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial construction experience
Previous experience in a foreman or supervisory role
Strong understanding of commercial construction practices and safety standards
Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience

Ground-up commercial construction
Managing multiple subcontractors and trades
Experience with construction management software
