Job Summary

Join our busy specialist office as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming presence will set the tone for a positive patient experience. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a friendly environment that encourages patient trust and satisfaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a caring healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they walk in
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software Cleardent
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and efficiently, directing calls to appropriate staff members
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and attention to detail
Verify insurance information, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with clarity and professionalism
Maintain accurate electronic dental records and ensure all patient documentation is up-to-date
Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations and patient flow

Qualifications

Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of dental office procedures, including appointment scheduling and insurance verification
Previous Cleardent software experience is an asset, though we will train the right candidate. New graduates are welcome.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an energetic and positive attitude
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Proven office experience with proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and multi-line phone systems
