Full job description

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded boutique commercial law firm in downtown Vancouver, is seeking a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team. This role supports a senior partner, two associates, and works closely with a senior paralegal in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

General administrative support (typing, scanning, filing, mail handling)
Managing incoming client calls and routine correspondence
Opening and closing legal files
Preparing and filing court forms and pleadings
Scheduling applications, chambers hearings, discoveries, trials, mediations, and settlement meetings
Liaising with opposing counsel and external contacts
Conducting searches (Court Services Online, BC Online, Land Title Office)
Assembling records and binders for court proceedings
Providing support during trials and lengthy applications
Preparing accounts, tracking receivables, and following up on outstanding payments
Preparing trust and accounting-related documents

Qualifications & Skills

Working knowledge of BC court forms, procedures, and litigation processes
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume workloads and competing deadlines
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Resourceful, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word and Excel required)
Experience with PC Law, NetDocuments, and iPro Eclipse is considered an asset

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
