THIRD COOK

What your day will look like:

Prepare all aspects of food production in accordance with hotel standards and established sanitation practices.
Produce menu items using approved methods, ensuring consistency, quality, and minimal waste.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety at all times to support an exceptional guest experience.
Participate in the daily cleaning and organization of walk-ins, storage areas, and refrigerators, ensuring proper stock rotation and cleanliness.
Ensure all equipment in the work area is cleaned and maintained after each use.
Work comfortably in a range of temperature environments, from -18°C to 40°C.
Stand and/or walk for periods of up to four hours at a time.
Promptly report any equipment requiring repair to the Chef.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chef to support kitchen operations.
Review and monitor personal work schedules as part of regular responsibilities

Your experience and skills include:

High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
Valid Food Safe certification is required.
Completion of a recognized culinary program is highly recommended.
Ability to obtain and maintain any required provincial or federal licenses, certificates, or permits.
Previous hotel or restaurant experience is considered an asset.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English; proficiency in a second language is an asset.
Availability to work a variety of shifts as required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg.
All employees are expected to maintain a neat, clean, and well‑groomed appearance in accordance with hotel standards.
Must be eligible to work in Canada. Valid Work or Study Permits – 1 Year Minimum Validity.
