La personne Responsable Assurance Qualité (AQ) est assure l’amélioration de la fiabilité et la qualité de nos produits en développant et en mettant à jour le système d’assurance qualité de notre usine de Saint‑Hyacinthe. Elle fournit leadership et accompagnement à l’équipe de gestion du site concernant l’implantation du système de gestion de la salubrité et de la qualité des aliments.

Elle veille à ce que tous les produits fabriqués à Saint‑Hyacinthe respectent les spécifications produits ainsi que l’ensemble des exigences réglementaires. La personne gestionnaire AQ dirige également les initiatives visant à instaurer une culture qualité forte sur le plancher de production, en mobilisant l’ensemble des employés du site.

Responsabilités principales :

Planifier, gérer, organiser et contrôler les activités liées à la salubrité alimentaire et à l’assurance qualité, tout en soutenant les opérations au quotidien dans la résolution de problèmes ;
Gérer l’amélioration et la mise à jour des systèmes de gestion de la salubrité et de la qualité des aliments définis par la norme BRC ;
Coordonner les programmes d’audits internes et externes selon la norme BRC et les exigences réglementaires établies par l’ACIA ;
Coordonner les programmes d’audits internes liés aux BPF (Bonnes Pratiques de Fabrication), à l’assainissement, au HACCP, aux allergènes, aux sous‑traitants, à l’entreposage externe, ainsi que les audits externes, en accompagnant les client·e·s, les autorités et les auditeurs indépendants ;
Diriger les initiatives sur le plancher afin de renforcer la culture qualité auprès de toutes les personnes employées à Saint‑Hyacinthe ;
Fournir le soutien requis pour répondre aux demandes des client·e·s concernant la qualité, les allergènes ou leurs questionnaires ;
Superviser et accompagner les superviseur·e·s du laboratoire de contrôle qualité dans la gestion du personnel et la réalisation des tests chimiques et microbiologiques ;
Gérer les plaintes client·e·s : réception, enquête, identification des causes, actions correctives et préparation des réponses destinées aux client·e·s ou à l’équipe des ventes ;
Gérer le système d’évaluation sensorielle (formation et application) pour l’usine de Saint‑Hyacinthe ;
Participer aux projets d’amélioration continue et fournir l’assistance requise ;
Mettre à jour les données nécessaires pour présenter les indicateurs de performance aux parties prenantes ;
Assumer la responsabilité des budgets d’Assurance Qualité ;
Conseiller et accompagner la direction du site et les autres leaders fonctionnels concernant les exigences liées à la salubrité alimentaire et au système de gestion de la qualité ;
Soutenir et contribuer à l’application des mesures nécessaires pour respecter les normes de qualité établies ;

Profil recherché :

Baccalauréat en sciences et technologie des aliments ou formation équivalente ;
Minimum de 8 à 12 années d’expérience en gestion dans la salubrité alimentaire, l’assurance qualité et les systèmes HACCP ;
Expérience démontrée en gestion d’équipe technique ;
Compréhension solide de la microbiologie, du contrôle des allergènes et de l’analyse de données ;
Excellente connaissance des réglementations canadiennes et américaines en production alimentaire ;
Excellentes compétences en communication ;
Atout : expérience réussie dans la gestion d’un audit de certification BRC (ou équivalent GFSI) ;
Atout : expérience dans des environnements certifiés Kasher, Rainforest, Fair Trade, Bio, UTZ ou autres programmes de certification.
Vision stratégique ;
Bilinguisme (anglais‑français), oral et écrit pour interagir avec les équipes corporatives;

About the role:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for improving the reliability and the quality of our products by developing and updating the quality assurance system of our St-Hyacinthe plant. The QA manager will provide leadership and guidance to the St-Hyacinthe management team relating to food safety and quality management system implementation. The QA manager will ensure all products produced at St-Hyacinthe meet all product specifications and all regulatory requirements. The QA manager will drive the effort to build a solid quality culture foundation on the shop floor by engaging all St-Hyacinthe employees.

Key responsibilities include:

Plans, manages, organizes and controls the different activities related to food safety and quality assurance and supports daily with problem resolutions;
Manages the improvement and the updating of the food safety and quality management systems as defined by the BRC food safety standard;
Coordinates the internal and external audit programs accordingly to the BRC food safety standard and regulatory requirements as defined by the CFIA;
Coordinates the internal audit programs according to the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), sanitation, HACCP, allergens, co-manufacturers, external warehouse and the external audit program while guiding the clients, the government and the independent auditors;
Lead the shop floor initiative to drive a culture of quality within all of St-Hyacinthe’s employees;
Supplies the required support to answer to the request of the clients on quality, allergens and/or answers to their surveys;
Supervises and supports the quality control lab supervisors in personnel management and in accomplishing tests, measurements and controls on a chemistry and micro-biological point of view;
Manages client complaints: reception, investigation, identifying the causes and the corrective actions, preparing the elements of answers for clients or sales;
Manages the sensory evaluation system (training and application) for our Saint-Hyacinthe plant;
Participates to and supplies the assistance required for the operation continued improvement projects;
Updates all the necessary data to present the performance indicators to all interested parties;
Assumes the responsibility for the Quality Assurance budgets;
Advise and guide site manager and other functional leaders on food safety and quality management system requirements;
Support and takes part in the application of all the actions necessary in order to meet the established and mandatory quality standard requirements;

About you:

A minimum of 8 to 12 years of managerial experience in food safety, quality assurance and HACCP systems;
Proven experience managing a technical team;
Solid understanding of microbiology, allergen control and data analysis;
Strong knowledge of Canadian and US food production regulations;
Excellent communication skills;
An asset: Managed a successful BRC certification audit (or GFSI equivalent);
An asset: Having worked in a Kosher, Rain Forest, Fair Trade, Organic, UTZ, and other certification requirements.
