What You'll Do

As an Optometric Assistant, you'll be involved in many aspects of the patient’s experience, including:

Welcome patients and create a warm, professional first impression.
Assist patients with selecting frames and recommending eyewear solutions that suit their lifestyle and needs.
Perform frame adjustments, repairs, and eyewear fittings.
Schedule appointments and manage the daily clinic schedule.
Process insurance billings and patient payments.
Perform preliminary pre-testing before appointments (training provided).
Support front desk reception and administrative duties.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Work closely with the doctors and team to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

Previous customer service experience is preferred.
Experience in an optometric, optical, or medical office is considered an asset but is not required.
We provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidate.
Must be available to work Tuesday evenings and occasional Saturdays as required.

Competitive starting wage of $20.00-$22.00 per hour, with higher compensation available based on experience.
Full-time position (30-40 hours per week).
