Full job description

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Adhere to all food industry regulations and guidelines

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures required
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

We are a fraternal not-for-profit organization that supports multiple community groups in the Sarnia area. Our ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working in a volunteer environment and in coordination with our Social Quarters staff. You will be the primary cook who is supported by part time cooks and volunteer cooks. Some catering work may be required. Join our team and contribute to creating delicious meals for our customers.
