Job Summary

As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, food quality, team performance, and financial accountability. You will lead both front-of-house and back-of-house operations while creating a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities Daily Operations

Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily restaurant operations.
Ensure smooth execution of service during busy lunch and dinner periods.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and customer service.

Team Leadership

Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members.
Create weekly staff schedules and manage labor costs effectively.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.

Inventory & Supply Management

Monitor inventory levels and place orders as required.
Manage food and supply costs while minimizing waste.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure consistent product availability.

Financial Management

Oversee daily cash handling and POS reconciliation.
Monitor sales performance and key operational metrics.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Guest Experience

Ensure every guest receives outstanding service.
Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
Build strong relationships within the local Sarnia community.

Health & Safety Compliance

Ensure compliance with all provincial health, food safety, and workplace safety regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment.

Qualifications Required

Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1–2 years of management or supervisory experience in hospitality, food service, retail, or restaurant operations.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and cost control.
Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic computer applications.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

Experience managing a quick-service or fast-casual restaurant.
Food Handler Certification.
Knowledge of healthy food, fresh ingredients, and customer-focused service.
