Full job description

Primrose Livestock is a dynamic agricultural operation running grain and cattle feedlot operations across multiple Saskatchewan locations, with a focus on modern practices and long-term growth. We are looking for a highly skilled/experienced person who can operate big farm equipment, seedling and field work, combining training and management of 15,000 acres of farmland & 4 to 6 experienced workers in an 8,000-head feedlot that backgrounds seasonally.

Farm / Feedlot Manager

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and Maintain Communication with Agronomists, Suppliers, and Owners
Oversee and Train Employees as needed
Ensure the Feeding Program is followed and Monitor Feed Bunks
Manage Vaccination and Medical Needs of the Cattle
Manage Shipping and Receiving of Cattle
Implement Pasture and Pen Breeding Programs
Maintain and Report Accurate Cattle Records
Performing General Farm, Feedlot, and Pasture Duties

Requirements:

5 years of Experience in a Similar Role
Strong Knowledge of Modern Farm and Feedlot Equipment
Exceptional Leadership, Organizational, and Problem-Solving Skills
Able to Understand and follow Safety Procedures, and ensure other Employees Comply with them
Able to Set, Delegate, and Execute Daily Tasks as Required
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Willing to work in a Multicultural Environment
Able to use new Technologies, including GPS
Intermediate Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and Feedlot Management Applications
Able to Operate, Inspect, Maintain, and Repair large Farming and Feedlot Equipment
Capable of Performing Physical Job Duties, which may include Bending, Heavy Lifting, Kneeling, Climbing, Crawling, and Twisting
Valid Driver’s License, Class 1 License an asset
Post-Secondary Education in Agriculture or a related field is an asset
