Full job description

We are looking for an organized, relationship‑focused Executive Director to manage daily operations, programs, finances, and community partnerships. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys variety and making a real difference in children’s lives.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide overall leadership for Care & Share programs and daily operations.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with school boards, schools, mentors, donors, and community partners.

· Work closely with the Board of Directors: schedule meetings, prepare agendas and minutes and keep the Board informed about programs, partnerships, and fundraising.

· Represent Care & Share in the community, including media and public events.

· Manage day‑to‑day finances and bookkeeping.

Prepare budgets, payroll, and required reports.
Collaborate with the accountant on financial statements and year‑end reporting.
Issue tax receipts and complete required government filings.
Keep organized records and program files.

· Respond to day‑to‑day needs as they arise.

Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in related field or education and experience will be considered.

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including grant writing and fundraising proposals, public speaking.

· Financial and budge management ability including experience with bookkeeping/accounting (QuickBooks is an asset).

· Effective communication and relationship‑building skills.

· Ability to manage multiple programs independently.

· Coordinate working relationships with schools, donors, partners, and volunteers.

· Experience updating websites and using social media to share programs, events, and impact, as well as ability to work with external designers or communications support as needed.

· Demonstrated ability to work within an approved budget and track expenses.

· Experience working with vulnerable communities, schools, or families.

The Executive Director is a part-time position working remotely from their home in Saskatoon. Salary will be discussed with successful candidate. Please email your resume including a cover letter to [email protected].
