Launch Your Procurement Career on a Major Mining Project | MRO, OEM Equipment & Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist in the mining sector in in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Are you a procurement professional looking to gain experience on a large-scale mining development project? We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing, contracting, supplier relationship management, and operational readiness initiatives. Working closely with category leaders and business stakeholders, you will help drive commercial value, supply assurance, and contract optimization across MRO, OEM equipment, parts, and technical services categories.

$65.00 - $90.00 hourly
Earn $80 to $90/hour incorporated or $65 to $70/hour T4
Secure a 12-month contract with a high-profile industrial project
Gain exposure to major mining owner-operator procurement activities
Work directly with experienced procurement and category management professionals
Build valuable relationships across operations, engineering, and supply chain teams
Increase long-term career opportunities within a major project environment

A typical day:

Support strategic sourcing initiatives across MRO, OEM equipment, parts, and technical services
Conduct commercial evaluations, negotiations, and contract administration activities
Collaborate with category leaders and key stakeholders to identify value opportunities
Manage supplier relationships to improve performance and supply assurance
Analyze total cost of ownership and support contract optimization initiatives
Contribute to operational readiness planning and procurement execution activities

Requirements:

Demonstrate experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or category management
Possess experience within mining owner-operator environments preferred
Bring transferable experience from EPC, heavy industrial, energy, infrastructure, or related sectors
Apply strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers
Be willing to work fully onsite in Saskatoon with occasional travel to project sites
