Full job description

Basic Duties & Responsibilities

· Experiance in Motherboard Repair and PCB Repair

· Able to read and understand PCB Schematics, specifically Motherboard Schematics

· Performs primary diagnosis and repair failed devices using a variety of diagnostic tools

· Drives continuous improvement on test yields, work in progress (WIP), test coverage and no trouble found (NTF) reductions

· Collects data and interprets failures

· Operates production test equipment

· Subject to established practices and procedures in a specific technical discipline

· Gathers, interprets and enters failure data information into computerized tracking system and prepares reports

· Performs test on repaired devices as needed

· Escalates test failure issues to higher level technicians and operations support team

· Complies and follows all procedures within the company security and health policy

· Exhibits proficiency in the use of tools assigned

· Utilizes process documentations such as but not limited to the following; BOM’s, Visuals, Debug, Repair, Testing tools, repair manuals and procedures

· Understand, recognize and execute Ivy Technology Toronto production requirements, rules, policies and procedures ensuring compliance of WIP

· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Ivy Technology is a fast-paced repair solution and service provider to the largest tech, med-tech, and telecom operators around the world. We are looking for repair technicians who have, theQualifications below;

· Electronics Technician or Technologist with A+ Certification or Hand Soldering skills or Equivalent Degree/Diploma

· Advanced PC and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills

· Must have prior experience repairing electronic devices and components, capable of debug, rework and functional tests and OS upload - should be able to open and close various devices at ease

· Technical work experience is preferred

· Advanced diagnostic skills

· Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to operate a personal computer including using applied operating system and related software

· Be independent and take the initiative to resolve the problems

Skills

· Ability to comprehend and execute to ensure SLA compliance requirements are met

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to elaborate the failure analysis to support team

· Must have the capability to navigate with minimal assistance

· Ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

· Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software

· Ability to write simple correspondence, read and understand visual aid

· The minimum targets are dynamic in nature and should be within acceptable RR standards and will enhance with the continuous improvements in process or equipment

o Ability to troubleshoot and repair 9 laptops/desktop per day or

o Ability to Test 10 Repaired System board per day or

o Ability to test and screen 50 units per day
