Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various outdoor construction projects, including landscape installation, hardscaping, and site preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills in the construction and landscaping industry. Prior experience with construction tools and techniques is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.

Duties

Assist in the installation of landscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and planting beds
Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution
Prepare sites by clearing debris, grading soil, and setting forms for concrete work
Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks with precision
Assist with masonry, carpentry, and electrical tasks as needed for landscape projects
Support in plumbing, drainage installation, and restoration work related to landscaping projects
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Follow safety protocols at all times during project execution

Requirements

Prior experience or familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, or construction estimating is a plus
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, concrete forms, masonry equipment, welding equipment, and heavy machinery is desirable
Knowledge of construction painting, tile laying, flooring installation, cabinet installation, caulking, or electrical experience is beneficial but not required
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward learning new construction techniques
Valid driver’s license preferred for site access and equipment operation support
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and adhere to safety standards at all times

Pay: $17.20-$32.00 per hour
