Job Summary

We are seeking a full time dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a welcoming and efficient dental environment. This role offers an opportunity to work with a friendly team committed to promoting oral health and patient education.

Duties

Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Provide oral health education and personalized advice to patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall dental care
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix
Manage patient scheduling, answer questions, and ensure a positive patient experience
Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols

Experience

Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of dental assisting procedures is advantageous
Familiarity with abeldent or similar dental management software is a plus
Experience working with pediatric patients is desirable
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology in a professional manner
