Job Description: Dining Room Server

Department: Food & Beverage – Ostin’s Restaurant

Reports to: Food & Beverage Management Team

Location: Parkway Social & Ostin’s Restaurant

Employment Type: Part-time

Position Summary:

At Ostin’s Restaurant, we are passionate about creating elevated yet approachable dining experiences. As a Server, you are the face of our restaurant and play a key role for providing attentive service, expert menu knowledge, and a warm, professional presence. Whether during a casual daytime lunch or a bustling evening service, Servers at Ostin’s uphold our reputation for quality, consistency, and hospitality excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional food and beverage service in a premium casual dining environment
Greet guests promptly and guide them through menu offerings, specials, and beverage pairings
Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond proactively to requests or concerns
Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service flow
Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and service stations
Process payments accurately and efficiently
Uphold Ostin’s standards of service, presentation, and professionalism at all times
Support fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume or upscale casual dining restaurant
Smart Serve Certification required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities
Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability including: days, evenings, weekends, holidays
Team-oriented with a positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction

Preferred Skills:

Experience in premium casual or fine dining environments
Strong food, wine, and beverage knowledge
Ability to handle guest concerns professionally and confidently
Detail-oriented with a polished and professional appearance

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Capable of lifting and carrying trays and supplies (up to 25lbs)
Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as setting and clearing tables
