Full job description

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and certified Raymond Reach and Counter Balance Operator. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience operating reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-organized warehouse environment, supporting seamless shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes.

Duties

Forklift counterbalance and reach truck (3+ years’ experience)
Ensures that policies and procedures regarding workplace safety (e.g., forklift safety, securing trailers while loading/unloading, etc.), environmental protection and optimal use of resources are strictly adhered to at all times, and that shipping staff perform their work in a safe manner.
Wears all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and uses appropriate tools.
Obtains daily work instructions and documents (e.g., pick notes) from the Shipping Manager
Performs safe and accurate loading of orders for shipments, and unloading of receivables
Performs general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
Packs, seals, and labels materials to prepare for shipping
Puts away received materials and finished production materials in the correct location
Moves goods into and out of warehouses. Working both indoors and outdoors.
Performs daily required safety checks on material handling equipment (e.g., forklift)
Completes daily shipping/receiving logs and activity reports, and any other required documentation
Reports any damages, inventory deviations, etc.
Follows company policies without exception.
Contributes to a well-functioning production team by demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and good attendance.

Qualifications

**Valid certification for Raymond reach truck operation and counterbalance forklift driving** and 3 years of proven working experience on both trucks.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling safety.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking, shipping &
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. This position is integral to maintaining an efficient warehouse operation that supports timely distribution of goods.
