General Labourer

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time - Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or Monday to Thursday 3:30 pm to 2:00 am

As a General Labourer, you will support day-to-day production activities throughout our manufacturing facility, working in different areas of the shop based on operational needs. This is a flexible, hands-on position where you may assist with tasks such as painting and finishing, operating or assisting with machinery such as brake presses, material handling, packaging, general shop organization and cleaning, and other production duties as required. Training will be provided, and your responsibilities may evolve as you gain experience and become familiar with different areas of our operation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with a variety of general production and manufacturing tasks throughout the shop based on operational and production needs.
- Support different departments as required, which may include painting and finishing, brake press, robotic welding, fabrication, material handling, packaging, shipping, and other production areas.
- Assist with the preparation, handling, movement, and organization of fabricated metal parts and materials.
- Learn to operate production equipment and machinery as assigned, following appropriate training and authorization.
- Conduct inspection on own, and as Buddy Inspect on others', completed work.
- Input job status updates into JobBoss software.
- Monitor inventory of painting supplies and recommend ordering when required.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with Quality (ISO) manual.
- Conform to all health and safety standards and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the production floor and assist others as required.
- Follow production schedule to meet customer demands.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Organizational skills
- Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Ability to prioritize workload

- Strong work ethic
- Ability to receive, interpret and act on directions in a timely and efficient manner
