Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, dealership experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves leading tire and automotive repairs, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Tire Tech will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency while providing outstanding service to our customers.

Duties

Lead and perform tire installations, rotations, balancing, and repairs with precision and efficiency
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections related to tires and basic automotive systems
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
Assist with automotive repair work beyond tires, including basic mechanical repairs and maintenance
Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations
Mentor and supervise junior technicians, providing guidance on technical procedures and safety protocols
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Engage with customers to explain services, answer questions, and promote additional sales opportunities
Assist in inventory management of tools, parts, and supplies

Requirements

Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience as a Tire Technician or Mechanic
Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and tire-related components
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment effectively
Ability to lift heavy tires or equipment safely (heavy lifting required)
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients
Knowledge of automotive repair procedures beyond tires is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while managing multiple tasks
Mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality workmanship and safety standards

Pay: $26.00-$31.49 per hour
