Full job description

Nuvo Construction is hiring two Site Superintendents to run our residential projects in the field. You own the quality, the schedule, the budget and the client experience on the projects assigned to you, and you report to our Construction Manager.

This isn't a lead carpenter or foreman role with a bigger title. You run your own sites. You direct your crew and the trades on them, hold the line on schedule and quality, handle the day to day client relationship, and drive closeout so projects finish clean instead of dragging.

You are not doing it alone either. You have a Construction Manager above you who came up through the field, who backs your calls, and who takes the commercial and scope decisions off your plate so you can stay focused on the build.

What you'll deliver

Hit budget and schedule. The field budget on your projects lands within 3% of target and milestones land on schedule. When something slips, you own the diagnosis and lead the recovery.
Drive closeout discipline. Deficiency lists on your projects clear within 30 days of substantial completion. Nothing sits open because the easy part is done.
Own the client relationship on site. You run the day to day conversations from kickoff to closeout, including the uncomfortable ones. You set expectations, flag issues early, and bring scope changes and pricing conversations to the Construction Manager rather than negotiating them yourself.
Lead your crew. Your people know the standard, hit the standard, and hold each other to it. You develop them instead of doing their work.
Zero compromises on safety and quality. Health and safety is the baseline, not a checkbox. No preventable incidents. No quality issues coming back as warranty calls.

What the role looks like day to day

You split your time between leading on site, managing the client, and protecting the work. That means walking your sites and checking standards, coaching your crew and your trades through problems, running client meetings, coordinating schedules and materials so the next phase is ready when it needs to be, pushing paperwork and deficiencies across the line, and meeting weekly with the Construction Manager to report on your projects and flag risk early.

Who we're looking for

Experience. You have run residential projects as a Site Superintendent or Site Manager, or you have been a strong foreman ready to step up. You can read a drawing set, sequence the work, forecast the critical path, run trades, and walk a site with authority.
Leadership. You have led a crew before and you are not waiting for permission to do it again. You hold people accountable without losing them.
Resilience. You stay steady when a project gets relationally difficult. Clients, trades, crew, when one of them gets hard you do not disengage.
Decision making. You make calls with incomplete information and move on. You are more worried about moving too slow than about making a mistake.
Closeout discipline. You like the last 10% of a project. Deficiencies, follow up, documentation, final handoff. You will not let a job sit open because the satisfying part is over.

What we're not looking for

Someone who needs the Construction Manager to step in every time a client gets difficult.
Someone who lets the last 10% of a project drag because the exciting part is over.
Someone who avoids hard conversations with trades, crew or clients.
Someone more comfortable doing the work than leading the people who do it.
