The Assistant Residential Manager is accountable to the Service Coordinator and the CEO

This position is temporary for 6 months and most work will be done remotely

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential program, ensuring high-quality care and support for individuals served. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing program activities, contributing to program development, facilitating policies and procedures, conducting program evaluations, and preparing budgets.

This role requires experience working with adults with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, autism, high medical needs, behavioral complexities, addictions, and personal care. The Assistant Manager operates in a staffed residential setting (e.g., resource home).

All assistant managers must maintain a strong understanding of Licensing, MCFD/CLBC standards.

The assistant Manager’s pay is defined as a salary position not hourly.

The Assistant Residential Manager is accountable to the Service Coordinator and the CEO

MANDATE:

JOB SUMMARY:

All assistant managers must maintain a strong understanding of Licensing, MCFD/CLBC standards.

The assistant Manager’s pay is defined as a salary position not hourly.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversees the day-to-day operation of residential program(s) by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards are met.

· Inputs daily all staff hours worked on Avanti accurately, in the programs assigned to the manager.

Ensure shifts are filled as per the collective agreement, as per the program staffing requirements and that schedules are operating within appropriate funding guidelines. Keeps detailed contact notes and records of shift call outs.

Reports any variances in scheduled hours to the services coordinator and CEO

Works collaboratively with the Services Coordinator and HR to address any staffing issues

· Participates in the recruitment and selection of program staff by performing duties such as screening applicants, participating on interview panels and making hiring recommendations.

·Responds to emergency calls, providing support to staff based on support plans and company policy. Keeps services coordinator informed of all occurrences

· Maintains related records and statistics, and produces reports as required.

· Reports to the Service Coordinator and CEO

· Management position is non-union. This non-union position is salary

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Diploma in a related human / social service field and/or

· Three (3) years recent related experience including one (1) year supervisory or administrative experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Experience/Knowledge in complex care needs, trauma training, positive behavioral support, community care licensing regulations, CLBC and MCFD standards, and CARF accreditation standards.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
Strong attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
Highly organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality

Pay: $70,720.00 per year
