Are you looking for a rewarding career in the restoration industry where every day presents a new challenge? At Rentals 24/7, our Mitigation Technicians play a critical role in helping restoration contractors return homes and businesses to normal following water, fire, and mould losses.

Unlike traditional restoration companies, we specialize in providing industry-leading drying equipment and Water Restoration Technician (WRT) services. Our technicians are trusted by restoration contractors across British Columbia to assess drying conditions, install and monitor specialized equipment, document job progress, and provide technical expertise throughout the mitigation process.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to emergency and scheduled mitigation service calls throughout the Lower Mainland.
Perform moisture inspections and develop drying strategies using industry-standard equipment and IICRC guidelines.
Install, monitor, adjust, and remove drying equipment, including:
Low Grain Refrigerant (LGR) dehumidifiers
Air movers
HEPA Air Filtration Devices (AFDs)
Desiccant dehumidification systems
Specialty drying systems (Injectidry, floor drying systems, etc.)
Record psychrometric readings and moisture content using professional moisture meters and monitoring equipment.
Complete accurate job documentation using digital reporting platforms such as Encircle.
Evaluate equipment performance and make adjustments to maximize drying efficiency.
Maintain strong communication with project managers, restoration contractors, and property owners throughout the drying process.
Deliver and retrieve equipment while ensuring it is safely installed, secured, and operating correctly.
Inspect, clean, and maintain company equipment to ensure it is deployment-ready.
Follow all company policies, IICRC standards, and WorkSafeBC safety requirements.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency response outside of regular business hours.

Qualifications

Previous experience in restoration, construction, property maintenance, or a related field is considered an asset.
IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
Strong understanding of moisture mapping, psychrometry, and structural drying principles is an asset.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and working in a variety of environments.
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in occupied residential and commercial properties when required.
Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
