Full job description

Looking for an exciting opportunity in a well-established and growing company? The Simple Company is a multi-dollar organization in its 17th year of business and is looking for a Maintenance Worker to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at the interior or exterior of company premises. We'll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs at various sites assisting our maintenance department in maintaining our tenants' apartment homes as well as the grounds associated.

You must be well organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job.

The Role

Perform maintenance and light repairs
Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks, etc.)
General plumbing/installations: toilets, faucets, fix leaks, etc.
Facility repairs: doors, doorknobs, locks, broken tiles, polish floors, staining, etc.
Facility installations: laminate flooring, doors, windows, trim, sinks, faucets, etc.
Tenant requests: air filters, new lock installation, and smoke detector inspection
Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs
Respond to requests from property management and maintenance team as needed

Skills & Experience Required

Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle
Proven experience as handyman
Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
Must own basic tools
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
Good communication ability
Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
Attention to detail
Work with minimal supervision
