Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Baker/Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating beautiful and delicious baked goods, with expertise in cake decorating and food preparation. This role involves preparing a variety of baked items, decorating cakes for special occasions, and ensuring all products meet high standards of quality and food safety. The Baker/Cake Decorator will also provide excellent customer service, assist with packaging, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of baked goods including cakes, pastries, cookies, and bread in accordance with recipes and quality standards
Decorate cakes and desserts with creative designs, themes, and intricate details to meet customer specifications
Follow food safety protocols and handle ingredients properly to ensure hygiene and compliance with health regulations
Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients
Package finished products attractively for sale or delivery while maintaining freshness and presentation quality
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
Ensure all baked goods are properly labeled and stored according to safety guidelines
Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed

Experience

Previous experience in cake decorating or bakery operations is highly preferred
Background in restaurant or food service environments demonstrating strong food handling skills
Knowledge of baking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment operation
Familiarity with food industry best practices related to packaging, presentation, and customer service
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Creative flair for cake design combined with solid food preparation skills is a plus

Pay: From $16.35 per hour
