Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic OSSD Business Teacher specializing in Economics, Management, Accounting, ICT, and Business. The ideal candidate will have direct experience teaching these advanced subjects within a public or private high school setting. We are looking for an innovative teacher who can seamlessly transition between in-person and virtual classroom environments and who brings a passion for real-world business strategy and financial literacy.

Qualifications & Experiences:

Certification: Must be a registered member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or prior teaching experiences in BAF3M, BAT4M , CIE3M ,CIA4U, BOH4M, BBB4M .
Required Experience: Proven, hands-on experience teaching the specific M and U level courses listed above within a public or private high school environment.
Tech-Savvy: Strong familiarity with online teaching technologies, digital collaboration tools, and adapting traditional curriculum for engaging virtual delivery.
Asset: Direct experience coaching or judging DECA, FBLA, or similar student business case competitions is highly desirable.
Online Delivery: Effectively utilize virtual teaching technologies (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace, digital whiteboards, and learning management systems) to deliver interactive and seamless online lessons.
Program Development: Support and mentor students in our DECA business competition program targeting Grade 8 and high school students, guiding them through case studies, financial analysis, and strategic business thinking.
Curriculum Alignment: Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations that align with Ontario Ministry of Education standards and Growing Success guidelines.Skills
Strong command of English.
Excellent communication skills for effective instruction and collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
Strong computer skills with the ability to integrate technology into lessons effectively.
Experience working with children and individuals with disabilities; understanding of special education needs is advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
Exceptional organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
