Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Concrete Batcher/Plant Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining concrete batching equipment and ensuring the efficient production of high-quality concrete. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, experience with heavy equipment, and a strong safety mindset to support our construction and manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

Operate concrete batching plant equipment to accurately measure and mix raw materials according to specifications
Maintain and troubleshoot batching machinery, including conveyors, mixers, and silos
Load raw materials using forklifts or other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Conduct routine inspections and perform minor repairs or adjustments on plant machinery
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
Assist with the setup, assembly, or disassembly of plant components as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and accurately dispatch as needs change.
Previous Concrete field related skills would be an asset.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge related to plant machinery and equipment maintenance
Experience operating forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment such as loaders or cranes
Knowledge of machining, welding, assembly, and general manufacturing processes
Background in construction or warehouse environments is preferred
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a manufacturing setting
Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
