Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service knowledge, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering outstanding customer service. The Restaurant Manager will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, efficiency, and high-quality service.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Lead and motivate staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating team members.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Oversee restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols.
Assist in developing menus or specials in collaboration with culinary staff.
Maintain a professional appearance of the restaurant environment to reflect brand standards.
Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours while controlling labor costs.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food service or restaurant management; supervising experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Leadership skills with experience in team management, interviewing, and staff development.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Hospitality background or hotel experience is a plus; barista experience or restaurant experience is desirable.
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour, committed to guest satisfaction.

-Support for Indigenous people - Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people - Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers - Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations - Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers

Pay: $37.50 per hour
