Job Summary

This job is in Waskesiu Lake, SK. It starts immediately and runs until the last part of September. The job is fast paced and heavy volume. We are seeking experienced, motivated and energetic Short Term Cooks to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals with precision and care, ensuring high-quality food service in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your food preparation skills, contribute to a positive dining experience, and gain valuable restaurant and kitchen experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about food safety, efficient meal preparation, and delivering excellent service to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and quality standards
Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure safety compliance
Support the kitchen team in food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and plating dishes
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
Follow food safety guidelines diligently to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling practices
Collaborate with team members to deliver timely food service during busy periods
Ensure all meals are prepared efficiently while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation

Qualifications

Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adapt quickly to changing priorities
