About the Role - in CALGARY OR TORONTO

We are seeking a Business Development Coordinator, Social Media and Growth to help shape how our firm is seen in the world. This is a role built around three priorities: bringing our social media presence to life, supporting business growth through research and business development coordination, and owning the proposal process from templates through final assembly.

This is a role for someone who is part storyteller, part strategist, part organizer — who takes pride in translating design work into a compelling brand story, and who is energized by connecting the dots between social media, marketing, sales, and relationship-building.

What You'll Do

1. Social Media & Branding

Own day-to-day social media presence (Instagram, LinkedIn, and others) — planning, scheduling, and posting content that reflects our design philosophy and completed work
Develop and maintain a content calendar in coordination with project teams to capture and share project milestones, finished spaces, and behind-the-scenes moments
Help evolve and protect our brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across platforms, website, and marketing materials
Coordinate with photographers, renderers, and designers to source and organize high-quality project imagery
Track engagement and basic performance metrics, and suggest adjustments to grow our reach and reputation

2. Research & Business Development Coordination

Research prospective clients, partners, and market opportunities (developers, builders, contractors, etc.)
Prepare briefing materials and background research ahead of new business meetings and presentations
Track leads, follow-ups, and relationship touchpoints in coordination with leadership
Monitor industry news, competitor activity, and design trends relevant to the firm's growth strategy
Support outreach efforts including drafting initial correspondence and coordinating meeting logistics
Maintain presentation templates up to date

3. Proposal Management

Own and maintain a library of proposal templates, boilerplate language, and past-project case studies
Assemble and format proposals in coordination with principals and project leads, ensuring consistency in tone, branding, and structure
Keep proposal content current — updated fees, scopes, staff bios, and portfolio pieces
Track proposal deadlines and coordinate input from multiple team members under time pressure
Continuously refine templates based on what's winning (or not winning) work

What We're Looking For

2–5 years of experience in a marketing coordinator, communications, business development, or executive support role (architecture/design/AEC industry experience a strong plus, not required)
Naturally passionate about social media
Excellent writing skills — able to adapt tone across a social caption, a proposal cover letter, and a client email
Comfort with social media platforms and basic content/design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, Later/Buffer, or similar)
Strong organizational instincts — able to manage templates, deadlines, and multiple moving pieces without dropping the thread
A genuine interest in design, architecture, or the built environment
Discretion and professionalism — trusted with client information and firm strategy
