Almond Butterfly is excited to be hiring for our Front-of-House at our flagship downtown Toronto restaurant, A.B. Bistro!

25-35 hrs / 4-5 shifts per week (day/night)

This is a hybrid position, which will have you rotate between the following positions, depending on business need:
- Barista/Bartender
- Server
- Host
We're on the lookout for experienced candidates who are enthusiastic about hospitality, coffee, and cocktails! You bring knowledge, passion, confidence, and energy to the position. Restaurant industry experience is an asset for this position. Smart Serve is required.
We are looking for someone who is upbeat, engaging with customers, enthusiastic, personable, and who has a *warm* friendly personality who will make guests feel welcomed and seen! If this describes your personality, we want to hear from you!
Your duties include:
- Barista duties: preparing high-quality espresso beverages, that are made consistently and beautifully;
- Bartender duties: preparing and serving hand-crafted cocktails and other alcoholic beverages at our licensed Dundas A.B. Bistro location (Smart Serve required);
- Server duties: serving, and managing tables in a high-volume environment (brunch and dinner);
- Host duties: greeting/seating guests & providing floor support;
- General duties (all FOH staff):
- providing a friendly and helpful customer experience;
- restocking, and maintaining a high level of cleanliness at your station;
- opening/closing the restaurant, including cleaning & lockup duties;
- processing takeout orders, while serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner;
- having the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while keeping a positive attitude;
- exhibiting professionalism at all-times, and being a self-starter;
Your qualifications:
- you have 1 year minimum of Host experience (knowledge of OpenTable is an asset);
- you have 1 year minimum of Barista experience (latte art skills is an asset);
- you have 2 years minimum of Server experience;
- bartender experience is an asset, but not required (note: you will be required to taste cocktails to measure their balance and flavor profiles);
- you are an experienced professional, who places the utmost priority on being reliable, and takes pride in a strong work ethic;
- you are a self-starter, who does not require constant supervision;
- you are punctual, a good communicator, and bring a passion for the industry to the position;
- you love interacting with guests, and take pride in your performance;
- you rise to challenges, and are solutions-oriented;
- you welcome - in fact, thrive in - fast-paced environments, while maintaining a positive attitude;
- you are comfortable with technology, including using tablets, and KDS screens;
- host experience is an asset (i.e. knowledge of OpenTable);
